So it was my 19th birthday! Wow... still a teenager... lol.
I didn't think I was going to do anything.
Firstly - because birthdays weren't a big deal to me anymore. I figured if I was going to do something nice for someone, I wouldn't wait until their birthday... people should do nice random things any time of the year. I always thought credit should go to the parents anyway on that day. It's not like "I" did anything on my birthday except cry and well... ya know. I believe it was that year that I decided birthdays are better understood by me in being called "The anniversary of your birth". It was then that I started saying "Happy anniversary of your birth!" to people instead of "Happy birthday!" (Actually I may have started that in high school but who cares, it sounds better in this year... lol.)
Secondly, I just wasn't expecting anything.
Now... I understand that birthdays are important because it shows you made it another year and it's the beginning of a new year. It's the one day in your life where everyone celebrates YOUR life.
So here, Jeremy surprises me. It's funny though because he invited a bunch of people I didn't know or just didn't know very well. Bless his heart - he was trying! :-) And I appreciate what he did for me that year so much. I met a lot of cool people, we ate, had cake, swam, and even ran into a little confrontation! (Lol, it's funny now...)
So here we are... celebrating the anniversary of my birth.
