To many of you reading this page, who knew Jeremy; he has always been a hero to you. In many ways and for many reasons, the way Jeremy lead his life defines the TRUE meaning of words such as "friend", "brother", "son", and "father"... and "hero".

     There are many heros in this world and throughout all of our lives. Heroes for many different situations. Most are heros for a moment. Some are heros for their entire careers, boasting medals for their services and sacrifices. No single deed is any less heroic than another, and every hero leaves a legacy of gracious, grateful, and awe inspired people that tell the story of how their hero affected their lives. But every once in a great while, a story emerges that tells a tale of true heroism; the story of a person whose life was so exceptionally heroic, that he or she would be remembered not only for their life of heroism, but also of their heroic deeds in the stead of their passing from this Earth to their live Eternal. 

     It is here that I believe Jeremy McGraner defines the word "HERO", in our life.

     It seems, to our family, that even though we did not know Jeremy during his time here, that the life he lived echoes in the voices of his friends and family, echoes in the lives of everyone he touched. Stories of his heroism are everywhere he was and in everyone he knew. And, although our family did not know him; the hero that he is...is right here with us every day. It is the first thing that I see when I wake up each morning. It defines to me, the words "father", "husband", "friend", and "son". And  the story of the hero, Jeremy McGraner, is told by my family to everyone who will listen.

     His life lives on through the many individuals to whom he gave his life.

     He gave our six children a chance to grow up with their father.

     He is, and will always be, our family's
